Dang, it rained 4 times!! Man, it also is raining new FREE in-store concerts

Dang, it’s rained 4 times!! Man, is that great or what? For us, yes. For the Midwest maybe not. It’s also raining new  in-store concerts here as well. Check out Hayes Carll in two weeks. What a guy and what a batch of songs on his new CD and LP. Just read the quotes, you’ll get it. Also plan to be right up in here when our rockin’ buddy Mic Harrison straight outta Knox-Vegas brings his southern righteous High Score band to make some uncompromising noise and celebrate his new CD “On The Right Side Of The Grass”. Mic don’t care — he just wants to rock. Rock for you and me and the common people. We love him. It’s FREE AUGUST 8Th at 4PM.

But WAIT, there’s more …we are thrilled to be selling new CDs this week from electronic-y, beats outer-orbit inner-groove mavericks Sound Tribe Sector 9 simultaneously as we are also selling the new CD from one of America’s greatest living roots-folk-bluegrass treasures with a heart of gold; Mr. Del McCoury & Band & Friends. It’s called Moneyland. Though vastly different in every possible musical way from the Sound Tribe Sector 9 they are each reaching out and making a statement like lots of folks about the sad state of  things in our country and around the world these days. Some how this all feels like the vibe and both in out cry and in energy and involvement of center aspects of the 1960’s. As Forest Gump was famous for saying, “that’s all I have to say about that”.

Lastly in the spirit, of those self same 60’s we got some free stuff for you: While they last we have some copies of really nice BECK picture sleeve single- 45rpm-vinyl record that goes with purchase of his new CD Modern Guilt just for the asking. AND we got lucky and Lost Highway found a few more copies of a really righteous and amusing graphic story/comic book thingie that goes along with the new Hayes Carll. Here’s the deal: buy a ticket to the Handlebar show either here or down there and we’ll give you one of these last copies. Show us your ticket or receipt it’s free. (Yeah it is ok if you also buy his CD or LP from us as well, but the book only goes with a ticket purchase to tha gig.) While supplies last .yo.

In closing we wish you a kinder gentler rest of the week It’s raining again as I write this, aaaaah — thank you for supporting indie music retail which in turn allows us to say…

We’re still here.
Keep coming back. More will be revealed.
