JERRY DOUGLAS THIS FRIDAY - FREE SHOW - only area appearance! In-store CONCERT, Friday August 22 at 5:00 pm, call 864-235-7922

My old pal and one of our generations most masterful, awe inspiring instrumentalists in any genre is dropping by to celebrate his amazing new rootsy and virtuosic, eclectic CD, GLIDE. Buy a copy now or any time especially on Friday afternoon, Jerry will sign it for you when we hope you’ll join us for this fun filled salute to the Maestro of Slide — a veritable acoustic giant and one of this areas and Horizons most esteemed collaborators through these many years. Jerry Douglas, world renowned musician, the Jimi Hendrix of Dobro, Paganini of slide, when he visits Horizon Records and The Bohemian Cafe will be bringing his merry band of musicians (Luke Bulla — fiddle stuff & Guthrie Trapp — guitar stuff) to assist in rolling out his stunning new CD “Glide.” When the featured member of Alison Krauss’ Union Station visited last time in 2005 to help Horizon Celebrate our 30th anniversary, it was a major event and huge coming together of the music fans from around the south and of the Greenville community in general. Douglas plays at Horizon on his way to New York City to perform as part of Lincoln Center’s 25th Annual Roots of American Music Festival on August 24.
