New LEONARD COHEN, GOMEZ, DIANA KRALL & look out! It’s Yard Sale & Record Store Day Apr 18
It’s really fairly simple this week. We are stoked to have 2 performances here Friday, April 18 from one of my favorite rockers. MICHELLE MALONE and Horizon go back quite a few years and she continued through all the mayhem and silliness that this business and life can bring to be true to her uncompromising vision of blues injected, Stones-ian, Southern girl swagger and raw honesty that originally caught drew my attention and has kept it since her first LP “New Experience”. Any Michelle Malone performance or new CD is reason to sit up and pay attention. Don’t miss this opportunity.
Plus this week and last has seen a slew of new goodies roll in here from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Gomez, Diana Krall, Decembrists, Indigo Girls, Doom, John Scofield Piety Street Band (he and his New Orleans posse play the Handlebar April 17!!), Wynton Marsalis, Flatlanders and the jazz issue of Wax Poetic magazine is here. Most of all, it’s a pleasure and personal thrill to stock out the much requested LEONARD COHEN Live In London CD/DVD. There are few artists still out there that garner AND DESERVE the acclaim, hushed reverence and awe and total respect that Leonard Cohen engenders. He IS the man. That’s it. Come see us.
And Don’t Forget:
Saturday April 18th is our 11th ANNUAL MUSIC YARDSALE and also RECORD STORE DAY.
Ridiculous amounts of bargains in LPS-CDS-45’s-DVDs-BOOKS-POSTERS-T-Shirts and just plain stuff will be set out. Plus a slew of limited edition Record Store day releases. We will be having FREE concerts all afternoon including Afromotive, Jaywalkers and a DJ set from Culture Prophet.
WE’VE GOT BRAND NEW T-SHIRTS!
