YES it’s an absolute monster — 11 tracks, 67 minutes 42 seconds of mind expanding, butt wiggling, thumpin’ guitar shredding give-it-to-me old school baby, but make it FUNKY dang ROCK. Great songs. Warren Haynes and the guys have outdone themselves on this latest offering. By a Thread is an absolute stunner of a modern blues rock masterpiece – not a wasted note or track — concise, blistering American powerhouse LOUD ROOTS BASED ROCK. Mercy.

It was a great honor and a big thrill to host this event with one of our favorite bands. We are particularly stoked as this in-store is a celebration of their monsta new CD/LP “By A Thread”. And yeah the band shopped and hung a bit after a well, massive CD/LP signing onslaught. I saw The Mule select new and used vinyl and CDs including Deep Purple, Avett Brothers, Pearl Jam, Tom Waits, Tom Petty, Composer Elliott Carter, Lee Morgan to name a few things they grabbed before it was time to head back to Asheville and Get ready for the big doings this weekend.

Thanks to all fans, customers, Gov’t Mule staff and band, Horizon Records and Bohemian Cafe staff and Brian Blades and ROCK 101 who helped make this the groovy crazy event it was. Happy Holidays. Don’t ever forget John Lennon.
