AMIRI – Vinyl Ritchie is in stock and ready to be your soundtrack for early summer. We love this project from Carolina’s Amiri, a seasoned soul journeyman who brings the best out of the Hip-Hop tradition any time he steps up to the mike or sits at the board.
A monster of jazzy beats, real personal lyric flow and a genuine old school craft in the vibe. –Gene
Amiri is back on the scene with an all new album entitled Vinyl Ritchie. Named after the fan favorite song “Vinyl Ritchie (2006)” off his last album, The Recipe, Amiri’s sophomore effort brings back the soulful boom-bap production that real Hip-Hop heads crave. The lead single, “A Dreamer” has the South Carolina emcee/producer envisioning the glamorous life over one of his trademark sample heavy tracks. Equally as dope is the buttery smooth B-Side “I Do It” which allows Amiri’s to express his motivational tools. The new album also reunites Amiri with partner in rhyme Spectac for “Take Our Time”.

OKPLAYER.com high fives Aimiri!
“Music from the heart, from the soul/ You’re never too old/ As long as peeps dig what you do, rock and roll”Mick Jagger still rockin’ mics so ain’t no reason why Mr. Organic BKA Amiri wouldn’t be doing the same. Throwing some glistening 80s lacquer on this cut from his current Vinyl Ritchie album (we see what you did there), the industry vet also gets Bootie Brown of The Pharcyde to come through with a sweet little sixteen. Make sure you catch that Pharcyde interview we posted too, while you’re at it and cop Vinyl Ritchie today.
